M-'s side of the family spoiled us equally well. M- got this fancy t-shirt (it makes me laugh when I see it). We also got a book, little ladybug (where do they find this stuff) I-bop player, nice serving dish,a clock, and tons of goodies. M-'s brother had our name this year and we totally scored with the awesome movie, cookbook (dutch oven for M), and a gift card to one of my favorite places!

More Christmas
We got some great gifts, M- got a flashlight and calendar, I got a sweater, and we got some nice gifts (neck tie, game, and ladybug grocery bag organizer- hazah!) from my brother and his family. We all had a great time, eating and laughing; and I was especially glad our Indian cousins could make to the party too.
What's the deal with this picture you're asking?
We went to M-'s parents on Christmas day and this was one of the first things I saw. It made me laugh hard. Seeing a 20 gauge on the chair next to the scriptures was one of the last things I thought I would see at the in-laws.

Dishwasher
Dishwasher, dishwasher, wash me a dish.
(sung to the tune of Matchmaker from "Fiddler on the Roof")
So our dishwasher had issues. It leaked, and stank, and the bottom was full of "dishwasher cheese", so we decided it was time to get a new one. So we hit some after Thanksgiving sales and got this beauty.
I already love it and haven't done any dishes in it yet. We paid the extra to have someone install it. Totally worth it! Plus, like all things in old houses, you find interesting things underneath the old one. Like how the electrical wires had all melted together and there were three different kinds of pipe used to connect your water supply. I was so glad we paid the extra. What a mess.
I'm excited!

Fun filled Tuesday
They have a new fun place in Kaysville to play called Boondocks. They have go-karts, batting cages, mini golf, laser tag, arcade, bowling and so much more. Our nice neighbor got VIP tickets to its opening and decided to share with us. We had a great time. The mini golf which was outside was a little cold, so cold that we would drop the ball on the ground and then hit it, we didn't take turns just kept on going through the holes. Mini golf is a lot more aerobic when running. The bowling lane was very fun, and M- enjoyed the rollerball (smaller version of bowling). We also tried out the bumper boats as well. The line for laser tag was too long, so we passed, but heard it was difficult playing with small children who have no concept of teams and shot everyone.
We didn't bring our camera because we didn't want it to get lost or taken. So we got these fine shots taken in an old style photo booth. We had a great time.

Christmas Tree
I know it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, but.....
I was with my mom having a "shop"therapy day and we found me a new Christmas tree. I got it for a honey of a deal because my mom let me have her 25% off coupon. Yea!
It sure is nice and beats the little one we used to have that we put on a box so it looked taller.
I found this fun Nutcracker at Macys and couldn't help myself.
I would love to find a Scottish Nativity, but not having much success.
Leave me a note if you see something.

Do you ever?
Do you ever go someplace and wish that you had brought your camera?
It happened to me this weekend. We went down to Saratoga Springs this weekend to see some friends. We knocked on the door and were greeted by 3 pirates, and in the background they had pirate music playing. We were then taken to Davy Jones pub. The menu was replete with all sorts of piratey items. Seaweed greens, squid legs, and turtle (really romaine salad and chicken parmesean with noodles). The table was decorated and they even had a framed picture of Davy Jones from Pirates of the Carribean. I wished I had my camera. It was so much fun and so clever. So thanks to our friends B&E and crew. We love getting to together.

Park City and Utes
We went to Park City this past weekend to the Gallery Stroll. It was a bit cold but after the wind stopped it was much better. I love looking at the art galleries up there. They had an really fun artist on display at the Kimball Arts Center. He made sculptures out of Legos. It was pretty amazing. Here's a link to see some of his work. http://www.kimballartcenter.org/exhibitions/current-exhibitions/
We also stayed in a B&B that night. It was nice (a lot better than Cedar City; no stocks). The room that we stayed in was named the same as our last name (also last name of famous trick skier), so it was fate.
On Halloween day we went to the University of Utah football game. It was chilly, but still very fun. The Utes didn't play well, but they still managed a win. It kept reminding me of something on of my basketball coaches used to say "We may not dance pretty, but we dance every dance".
I had a Churro, which is a must at any sporting event, and enjoyed the marching band, and that crazy "Bubbles" lady that does that funny dance during the 3rd quarter.

Happy Halloween
We had fun at M's parents annual pumpkin carving party a few days ago.
My pumpkin is the "Rampant Lion" from Scotlands flag, and M's is the very cool owl.
We had an awesome dinner too.
Happy Halloween

Fall at the Campgrounds
We went up to the campgrounds to see the new finished roof on the treehouse. We had a little picnic and then we explored around the area. Enjoy some pictures of the pretty fall colors.
Pig update for my sister, still looks good

Birthday and Baby Elephant
Also for my birthday, we went to the zoo so I could see the cutest thing on the planet. If they stayed this size I would totally want one.
This really cute creature was also at the zoo!

Modern Medicine
I'm so glad that I live in a day with such great medicine, even if it does make me a little loopy. Yesterday I had some teeth yanked or extracted. I requested some of what I like to call "I don't care" medicine. That stuff works really good for me and here is the proof. After the teeth were gone and I was in recovery, the nurse said to me,
"Do you remember me asking you how much you weigh?"
I replied " No, do you need to know right now?" "Sure."
I told her my weight, and she started to laugh and said "that's not what you told us in the Operating Room."
She then told me that I told her I weighed the equivalent of a college football quaterback. She then said they asked me if I was sure, and I said "Yep, I'm sure."
I guess that gave them a pretty good chuckle, it did me too when she told me. Good times!

This little piggy.....
Leave it to my super creative sister to take a pile of dirt and turn it into something really cool.

She and her husband went to the U.K. this spring and saw a fun little pig like this and decided it would make a fun addition to the campgrounds. That is one fun pig.
Cute kids

Lost and Found
So this past week some hooligans stole our garbage can (we'd put it on the street for collection so it was full of grass clippings and rotten pears and apples). We called the City to report it and they told us too bad so sad that will be $78 if you can't find it. So we've been walking around the neighborhood looking at peoples garbage cans (I can only imagine what our neighborhood was thinking). We had no luck so today I was teaching in Relief Society at church and I thought I'll just mention it and see if anyone has seen a garbage can someplace weird. And sure enough someone had seen it and it was at their house because they didn't know where it had come from. So the nice neighbor had us come over and get our can. She said somebody had tied it to their car and dragged it down the street, spilt its contents on the side of the road and left. Hooligans! We're just so glad to have it back, and glad about our great neighborhood that watches out for each other. We were walking up the street with our garbage can and one of our neighbors opened their front door and yelled "Hooray you found it".
Yep, it's good to have it back.
Yep, it's good to have it back.

Cedar City and 'the' Bed and Breakfast
A few weeks ago we went to the Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City. We saw the Secret Garden. The play wasn't really like the book, (a little odd in places), but it was still fun. The pre-show or the greenshow they have outside was a blast though. I definetly want to go back but next time I'm going to see Shakespeare in the cool outside "globe" theatre.
This is M__ pointing at some more decor around the yard with his "I'm not walking through another spider web" stick
It wasn't that bad of a place, it was just weird.
It was clean, but odd.
The breakfast was okay, but not great.
Just a weird little quirky place
Things that aren't so quirky
1-Cedar City has a fun antiques shop on the corner of 200 N and Main.
Great selection and good prices.
2-The drug store on Main has a soda fountain with lots of tasty things.
Try the ironport, you'll like it
